I specialise in aerial photography of landscapes, golf courses, architecture and buildings.

My background for over 25 years has been the development renovation and construction of listed buildings, golf courses, leisure facilities, clubhouses and hotels.

My love of landscapes and architecture has been with me most of my adult life, and I have been fortunate to be involved with the construction of 12 golf courses in the UK, changing the landscape of over 2,000 acres.

This business journey has seen me involved with the renovation and construction of listed buildings and their surrounding man-made landscapes.

I have a creative and practical approach to aerial photography.  From 2006 I started to use helicopters to capture the unique aerial views to use in brochures, marketing material and record development progress.

This made me aware of the power of aerial photography when used over landscapes and buildings.

Helicopter Aerial Photography

The image of a helicopter below is me getting ready for a aerial photography shoot at a golf course and the gallery underneath is a small selection of the aerial images I took that day.

In 2012 I discovered drones and started to use them for photography and videography from a lower level under 400 feet.  As the camera technology on drones improved, this has given me the ability to produce stunning aerial images, at a fraction of the cost of using helicopters.

CAA Approved Drone Pilot

In early 2016 I passed the CAA-approved exams, flight assessments, and hold the established industry Remote Pilot Qualification (RPQ-s) for multi-rotor aircraft under 7kg.

I got  Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) “Permission for Commercial Operation” PfCO which means I am a licensed commercial operator of UAV’s (unmanned aerial vehicles) drones in the U.K for day and night work.  I also have the latest CAA A2 Certificate of Competency and GVC qualifications.

I can fly my drones close to difficult locations, turning new ideas for aerial imagery into stunning reality, day or night, while maintaining the highest standards in safety and operation.

My drones carry cameras using the best gyro-stabilised gimbals to produce ultra sharp HD 4K video and 20 megapixel still images.

I can now produce cost-effective aerial cinematography and videography with shooting angles and reveals, previously only available on big budget productions.
